The Siegestor was built from 1843 to 1852 by the architect Friedrich von Gärtner. It is the end of the grand boulevard called Ludwigsstraße. On the backside you can find a lettering which means: "Dedicated to the victory, destroyed by the war, reminding of the peace."
Eisbach is part of the stream system of the English Garden and a derivate of the Isar. The stream system was conceived in 1789 by Friedrich Ludwig von Sckell.
Gasteig is close to the Ludwigsbridge and the home of the famous Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the central of the City Libary and the adult education centre.
Daffoldis in front of the obelisk (Karolinenplatz). This obelisk is a memorial of the bavarian soldiers who lost their lifes in Napoleons Russian compaign (1812)
Leo von Klenze (Architect) created the Propyläen on the Königsplatz. This monument is dedicated to the greek struggle for freedom. Its architecture is leaned on the Athens Acropolis.
